01 · The problem

Business and technical context

The product had accumulated isolated customizations, inconsistent mobile behavior, and missing workflows across login, calls, uploads, and user onboarding. New features had to fit an active production codebase without disrupting core social functionality.

02 · The solution

Implementation approach

I mapped the platform’s request lifecycle and data model, then introduced modular changes for passkey authentication, SSO, verification, calling, guided onboarding, uploader behavior, and PWA improvements. Each feature was implemented with compatibility checks around existing templates, AJAX endpoints, permissions, and mobile states.

03 · Key functionality

What I delivered

01

Passkey and SSO login workflows with session-aware validation.

02

WebRTC, Ant Media Server, and Jitsi communication workflows with clear waiting and call states.

03

Chunked media uploads with progress, cancellation, and visibility controls.

04

PWA, service worker, mobile audio, and onboarding refinements.

05

Administrator tools for content, categories, statuses, and guided tours.

04 · Constraints

Important challenges

Preserving compatibility with a heavily customized vendor platform.

Coordinating PHP endpoints, JavaScript state, templates, and database changes.

Improving mobile behavior without duplicating entire desktop workflows.

05 · System view

High-level architecture

1 Browser / PWA
2 PHP application layer
3 MySQL & session state
4 WebRTC / Ant Media / external services

06 · Interactive system motion

Explore how the layers influence one another.

This abstract simulation turns the architecture above into a small spring-and-collision system. Move or press inside the canvas to disturb it. It is a systems visualization, not customer footage or a product screenshot.

Delivery in motionLocal, lightweight abstract video—not client footage.

Request-to-release loopProcedural visual explaining flow rather than implying a real interface.

07 · Result

Operational improvement

A more consistent user journey across authentication, communication, and uploads.
Reusable modules that are easier to maintain than one-off template patches.
Reduced operational friction through clearer admin controls and error states.
